Mr. Bean
Mr. Bean compromised of a total of fourteen half hour episodes which starred Rowan Atkinson. It was on January 1st 1990 that the first episode of Mr. Bean was broadcasted. Mr. Bean gained huge popularity during the 90’s and included a massive 18.74 million viewers for the 1992 show titled “The Trouble With Mr. Bean”. Mr. Bean has gained massive worldwide attention as well with copies of his show sold in over 200 countries and territories worldwide.
The creation of the Mr. Bean character was when Rowan Atkinson was attending Oxford University and was studying for his MSc. Also, one of Mr. Beans earliest live performances was at the Just For Laughs comedy festival that is held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was also where Rowan had tested his character in French after insisting that he perform for the French audience so that he could see how well his character fared in a non English environment. What makes the Mr. Bean comedy so unique is that it has been able to be sold worldwide without much modification as most of the comedy doesn’t involve any language making it very versatile.
Mr. Bean continues to please audiences worldwide and Mr. Bean’s Holiday was the latest movie release on July 17th 2007. Audiences around the world are anticipating another Bean movie to be released in the near future.
