Did you know that Jim Carrey’s real name is James? He was also born on January 17th in 1962 in Newmarket Ontario. He also carries a dual citizenship and is considered Canadian as well as American. He has starred in a number of popular movies including “The Mask” and “Liar Liar”. Carrey has also shifted his roles from being extremely funny to extremely serious and dramatic. Such films as The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine for the Spotless Mind are a couple examples of this. Jim Carrey has also won the prestigious Golden Globe award twice.

Jim Carrey has also been married twice which includes Melissa Worner with whom they have a daughter named Jane Erin Carrey. Jim Carrey has a chipped tooth and in his role in Dumb and Dumber he removed the tooth cap. He is also a vegetarian and attends the Prebyterian Church. His favourite band is the popular death metal band known as Cannibal Corpse.

It was also on October 7th, 2007 that Carrey received his full U.S. citizenship and currently has a star on the popular walk of fame located in Toronto Ontario, Canada. His most recent movie “Yes Man” is due on video in early 2009 and has received strong reviews.
